Last year, Ubisoft stated that an Assassin’s Creed game would be heading to the PlayStation Vita, though no other details were given. Now, the game’s identity may have been revealed, in addition to another game’s.
Earlier, United Kingdom-based online retailers Game UK and Zavvi each posted product listings for two PlayStation Vita games, though they have since been removed. The first game was Assassin’s Creed III, which is coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U later this year. In addition to Assassin’s Creed III, a listing for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Final Mission was put up. As no details of a Ghost Recon game for Vita had previously been mentioned, it’s unknown as to what the game may contain.
Both Assassin’s Creed and Ghost Recon are major franchises for Ubisoft, and if they are indeed coming to Vita – especially Assassin’s Creed III – then it could help boost sales of Sony’s latest handheld. Both titles may be seen at this year’s E3 if they are real; if so, 4P will update you with more details on each game.
